Blair Upper Cervical
Blair Upper Cervical Technique is a specialized approach to corrective chiropractic care which focuses on the relationship between the head and the top bones of the neck. This area is especially important to an individual’s health as it is the most freely movable area of the spine and is therefore the most easily misaligned or injured. The bones of the upper neck surround the brainstem, an area of the nervous system responsible for the transmission of information from the brain to the body. Misalignments in this region have the capacity to interfere with the flow of vital messages between the brain and the body. When pressure or torque on the brainstem is present, it can negatively impact the function of the entire body.
Through 3-D analysis of precision digital x-rays, infrared thermography, and various orthopedic and neurological tests, Dr. Alex Wolfe utilizes the Blair Upper Cervical Technique daily with his patients in Wolfe Family Chiropractic's Metamora, Michigan office serving individuals in Lapeer, Metamora, Oxford and the surrounding communities. Upper cervical misalignments require a custom engineered correction as the vital first step on the road to recovery and optimal health. Blair Upper Cervical adjustments are very gentle, requiring no twisting or turning of the patient’s neck and creating no “cracking” or “popping” noises. Patients are evaluated on each visit to determine whether they are holding their adjustment (this allows the body to heal and function properly) OR if they have come out of alignment, requiring a specific adjustment to realign the upper neck.
